Individual Therapy
for Adults
A space for you to process, heal, and grow. Because your well-being matters, too.
You Deserve Support, Too
If you're a parent, you've probably spent a lot of energy focused on your child's needs.
That's natural. But somewhere along the way, your own emotional health deserves attention, too.
Whether you're carrying the weight of a difficult season, processing something from your past, or simply feeling stuck, individual therapy gives you a space that's entirely yours.
At Resilient Kids, we work with adults navigating a wide range of challenges. You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Sometimes it's about building better tools. Sometimes it's about finally having a safe place to say the things you've been holding.
Our therapists bring the same warmth, evidence-based expertise, and genuine care to adult clients that we bring to every family we serve.
What We Help With
Adults come to therapy for all kinds of reasons. Maybe you're struggling with anxiety that won't quiet down, grief you haven't had the space to process, or the emotional toll of parenting a child who's going through a hard time. Maybe your relationship is strained, or a major life change has left you feeling unsteady.
Whatever brings you here, we'll meet you without judgment. Our goal is to help you understand what you're experiencing, build practical tools for managing it, and move toward a life that feels more grounded and whole.

How We Work
CBT
A practical, goal-oriented approach that helps you identify unhelpful thought patterns and develop healthier ways of thinking and responding to challenges.
Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT)
An evidence-based approach for children and teens recovering from trauma. TF-CBT combines cognitive techniques with trauma-sensitive strategies to support healing in a structured, gentle way.
EMDR
A powerful therapy for processing trauma and distressing memories. EMDR helps reduce the emotional charge of past experiences so they no longer hold the same weight.
DBT Skills
Teaches skills for managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and building distress tolerance. Especially helpful for teens navigating emotional overwhelm.
Family Systems Therapy
We look at the whole picture. Family systems work helps children and adults understand how family dynamics shape emotions and behavior, so the whole family can grow toward healthier patterns together.
You Don't Have to Carry It All Alone
Reaching out for support takes courage. We're here when you're ready.

First Session
Your first session is about getting comfortable. We'll explore what brought you here, talk about your goals, and start building a relationship rooted in trust and honesty.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Absolutely. While our heart is in child and family work, we're committed to whole-family healing. That often means supporting parents with their own mental health. When you're doing well, your whole family benefits.
-
We take time to get to know you as a whole person. Adult therapy is conversation-based and collaborative, and every treatment plan is shaped around your unique needs, background, and goals. We draw from approaches like CBT, EMDR, DBT, and family systems therapy, while we explore how relationships, attachment experiences, and family dynamics may be showing up in your life today. The same warmth and care we bring to our work with children is present in every adult session, too.
-
It depends on what you're working through and your personal goals. Some adults find a few months of focused work is enough. Others benefit from longer-term support. We'll set goals together and check in regularly so you always know where things stand.
-
Yes. Teletherapy is available for all Delaware residents and is a great option if you prefer the convenience and privacy of connecting from home.
