Group Therapy & Programs
Building skills, sharing experiences, and growing together in a supportive, therapist-led setting.
The Power of Growing Together
There's something uniquely powerful about working through challenges alongside others who understand.
Group therapy gives children and teens a space to build skills, practice social connection, and realize they're not alone in what they're experiencing.
Our groups are led by experienced therapists and designed to be safe, structured, and supportive.
Whether your child needs help with social skills, emotional regulation, or identity exploration, our group programs offer a different kind of healing, one that comes from shared experience and peer connection.
Groups & Programs
We're gearing up to bring group therapy back this summer. Groups offer something individual therapy can't: the chance to connect with others who get it. Here's what we're planning:
Social Skills Groups
Structured sessions focused on communication, cooperation, empathy, and friendship skills. Designed for children and teens who struggle socially or are navigating neurodivergence like ADHD or autism.
Parenting Support
Group
A space for parents and caregivers to connect, share experiences, and learn practical strategies. Facilitated by a therapist, not a lecture.
LGBTQIA+ Support
Group
A safe, affirming space for LGBTQIA+ youth to explore identity, share experiences, build community, and feel fully seen.
Girls Empowerment Group
A group designed to help girls build confidence, self-advocacy, and connection in a supportive, therapist-led environment.
Coping with Anxiety Group
A therapeutic group focused on understanding anxiety, building coping tools, and practicing strategies for managing worry in everyday life.

Connection is Part of the Healing
Sometimes the most powerful thing a child can hear is "me too." Our groups create space for that.
Is Group Therapy Right for My Child?
There's something uniquely powerful about working through challenges alongside others who understand.
Group therapy can be a great fit for children and teens who feel isolated or "different" from their peers, who struggle to make or keep friends, who benefit from practicing social skills in a real setting, who are navigating identity questions and need affirming community, who are learning to manage big emotions and want to know they're not alone, or who have made progress in individual therapy and are ready to practice skills in a social context.
Groups can work alongside individual therapy or as a standalone experience. If you're not sure which is the best fit, we're happy to talk it through.
How to Join a Group
STEP ONE
Reach Out
Contact us to ask about current group offerings, schedules, and availability. We'll help you figure out which group might be the best fit for your child.
STEP TWO
Brief Consultation
Before joining a group, we'll have a short conversation (and sometimes a brief individual meeting with your child) to make sure the group is a good match for their needs and goals.
STEP THREE
Join the Group
Once enrolled, your child will join a supportive, therapist-led group where they'll build skills, connect with peers, and grow in confidence.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Not necessarily. Some children benefit from group therapy on its own, while others do best with a combination. We'll help you figure out the right approach during the consultation process.
-
Groups are intentionally kept small to ensure every participant gets attention and feels safe. Exact sizes vary by group, but we prioritize quality over quantity.
-
That's completely normal. Our therapists are experienced at helping kids ease into group settings. We build trust gradually, and your child will never be pressured to share before they're ready.
-
It depends on the group. Some run as structured multi-week programs with a set curriculum, while others are ongoing. We'll give you all the details when you inquire.
